Turas go Lichtínstéin

Léigh mé faoi Lichtínstéin le "An Muid/Beag Riochta" ina iris taisteal leis na "Amannaí Nhua-Eabhrac" faoi deireanach. Níl eolas agam faoi an áit bídeach sin roimh ré. Tá sé an stád séu cuid is lu ar domhan.

Níor chuir mé cuairt go Mean-Eoraip go direach. Ach chuaigh mé go h-Ungáir uair céann agus go Phoblacht Sheic dhá uair. Bhí cuimhne liom fúthu nuair d'fhoghlaim mé faoi Lichtínstéin. Tá Lichtínstéin is lu ansin. Tá prionsacht aoibhinn ann.

Is 35,000 duine amháin ansiud. Tá saibhre go leor dann. Go rabhthar ag siul ag trasna ar thalamh ina beágan uair. Is tir go halainn leis ros dlúth, caiseal ard agus cluain glas.

Ba maith liom ag codladh go h-Óstlann Galina i Malbun. Is Norman Vögeli é óstach ann. Tá sé féin cumhlacht an spéir os ár gcionn. Cuireann sé aithne ar éin creiche air. Tá sé ábalta smachtaigh ulchabháin, seabhaic seilge, agus t-iolair ann. Eitlail eitleacháin ag timpeall sa spéir os cionn an lóistín agus i measc a h-aíonnaí síos ann.

Is iarsmalann bailithe stampaí ina Vaduz freisin. Nuair bhí mé og go raibh maith liomsa ag cruinniú stampaí fosta. Nílim go cinnte má go feicthe stampa poist na Lichtínstéin ar chor ar bith. Níl siad ag cur i bposta go coitianta go minic.

Cén fáth? Níor cuireann siad sa phost níos minic go rialta do. Mar sin, níl stampannaí go leor do. Tá na stampannaí seo go bhfuil go luath go nádúrtha ar fud an domhan na bailitheoirí stampaí.

Is í dánlann náisiúnta ina phríomhchathair fós. Is sráidbhaile Steg é go dathúil. Gheobhaidh agaibh leis an riochta seo, ar ndóigh.

B'fhéidir, rachaidh mé go Lictínstéin sa deireadh. Ní mhaith liom ag imeacht go Ghearmáin. Tá Lictínstéin idir h-Eilvéis agus An Ostair. Ní itheann mé ispíní anois! Beadh fadbh ina hAlpa orm.

Ar scor ar bith, sriochfaidh mé go h-Eilvéis. Tiomaintfainn go Ghinéiv go dtí Vaduz agus Malbun ansin go tapaidh. Tá an turas seo (chomh Seán Wray an scríobhneoir dó) go raibh suntasach. An smaoineamh agaibh go mbeadh ina áit sin go marbhánta? Feic na ghriangrafaí leis an alt sula go fiafraigh an cheist seo!

Journey to Liechtenstein.

I read about Liechtenstein as "The Royal Wee" in the travel magazine with the New York Times recently. I had no information about that tiny place beforehand. It's the sixth-smallest state on earth.

I never visited Mitteleuropa exactly. But I went to Hungary one time and to the Czech Republic twice. It's much smaller there in Liechtenstein. There is an enchanting principality.

There's only 35,000 people over there. Many of them are wealthy there. Someone may walk across the land in not much time. It's a beautiful land amidst a thick [not "tiubh" but a special density adjective's used for woods] forest, a high castle, and a green meadow.

I'd like to sleep at Hotel Galina in Malbun. Norman Vögeli's the host [="entertainer of guests!"] there. He himself has power over the heavens above. He knows how to command birds of prey. He's able to tame owls, falcons, and eagles there. Fluttering things fly about the sky over the lodge and among his guests down there.

Also, there's a philately museum in Vaduz. When I was young, I took pleasure in collecting stamps also. I am not sure if I've seen any postage stamp from Liechtenstein at all. They aren't sent out customarily abroad often by post.

Why? Regularly letters aren't mailed very often from there. Therefore, there aren't many stamps from there. These stamps are naturally valued in the world of stamp collectors.

There's an art museum in the capital city too. Steg is a pretty village. You'll find vineyards within this kingdom too, of course.

Perhaps, I will go to Liechtenstein eventually. I wouldn't want to go off to Germany. Liechtenstein's between Switzerland and Austria. I don't eat sausage now! That'd be a problem in the Alps for me.

However, I could arrive in Switzerland. I should drive from Geneva to Vaduz and then to Malbun quickly. This is a journey (like John Wray the writer of it) that may be memorable. Would you all think that instead it might be dull? See the photographs with the article before answering this question!
